The bust of Monsieur C. Ladreyt was made in stoneware for outdoor display. I was asked to make glasses, as he always wore them, and I made them from a small brass section found in a model-building store.
A brass tip holds the circle in a hole on the nose and the branches are glued in a hole under the hair.
The glasses are represented by a line on the stoneware under the eyes at cheekbone level.
