The suspended moment freezes a dance moment as technical as it is ethereal. Created in 2022, this 42 cm-high ceramic sculpture was designed to suggest the body's suspension in the air, while respecting the constraints of the clay firing process. The load-bearing right leg was modelled separately with a temporary metal reinforcement; the rest of the body was then adjusted and assembled after firing.The firing temperature (up to 960°C over 40 hours) precluded any permanent internal structure.This technical challenge, already addressed in "Le cygne blanc" (The White Swan) in 2021, is met here with great lightness.The elegant, sensual pose lends the figure an unreal grace.
A bronze version can be produced without any solidity constraints. Like all my works, it could then be produced as a limited edition.I provide my buyers with a certificate of authenticity in compliance with the legislation governing original works.
